Should marriage to more than one person be legal?

No I don't believe so. There is no law that forces people to wed in this first place. If you are interested in some kind of open living arrangement then more power to you... shack up with whomever you want. You don't have to be married. There is no way that Western civilization is going to support the concept of multiple spouses.

Well in our religion Islam we have the right to 4 marriages at a time and logic behind is if we see an widow who is young but her husband is died for any reason and she have kids too than we must propose her to provide another chance to live happy. In second option if we see an very poor family who have girls in their home but not able to take financial burden of an marriage so we must propose her to help this poor family too. Similarly these mirages are based on others need and motto behind it is to help them.

in Muslim culture it is legal to have any number of wives.though i not support the concept.for two to understand each other takes a life time.how can anybody manage on double or triple?its not right and ethical to have such relationships and these relations certainly not be legalized.forgive me if i said something wrong i am not condemning any religion.

Of course not, it will be unfair to those who will have to share a spouse with somebody else.

No I don't think marriage more than one person is legal, I think Muslims have that option ,but in my opinion that should be illegal...

Even i feel that it should be illegal. On a exception that the man/women lost his partner, its ok for people who have lost their partner, you need support in such cases. But otherwise, make it illegal!

Yes oviously becuase in our religion it is clearly said that you can marriage four person but their have some conditions as well you have to take care all of them equally also you have to take permission from each of them also you must need to have the money so that you can take care of them well.

Know what...Is it going to be applied to men only? What about women? Isn't it unfair? But it appears so disgusting when a woman does that kind of act. I think only men have the face and guts to have multiple spouses.

yes i can't imagine another female in our life.i am very possessive wife.i can't handle even a girlfriend, sharing my husband with someone else is out of question.
well how can you do that?marriage will loose its true meaning then.don't you feel so?

hi well guys in our religion that is not prohibited we can do 4 marriages there is a logic behind that what about that its legal or not i don't know

This could depend on the religion. But for me, since I'm a Christian, I believe in one marriage only. At least, one at a time. I will not support multiple marriages either. If a person is not sure about the marriage, then don't marry at all. Simple as that.
