Well Mobile phones are one of the essential stuffs in daily life and i believe Mobiles should be allowed in colleges but they should be switched off or made silent so that Class do not get disturbed and this way we can control it but i think it should be allowed because there may arise some sudden incidents to anyone

Mobile phone should be banned in school and college for students. it disturbs in their study. I think it should be banned for teachers in the class also.

Cellphones should not be allowed to be turned on inside a classroom. It's a distraction to the class period. Students and teachers will tend to lose focus on what they are doing if the phones will constantly ring. But outside the classroom and during class breaks, I believe it should be allowed because it is very important that we get connected to our children so that we can be assured of their situations there. That is the significant function of mobile phones. If users will only exercise discipline in mobile phone use then there will never be any argument regarding the use of it.

College students were already mostly adults and no reason to ban cellphones inside College campuses. I guess, they only need to set a rule that it is not allowed inside the classroom especially during class hours. And not only for the students but also for the teacher. NO CELLPHONE ALLOWED INSIDE THE CLASSROOM is good sign I guess. There are teachers also who keep on texting inside the classroom. Give a page to the students from the book to read while the teacher is texting which is not a good example. Or for emergency purposes they can turn it on yet muted.

now a days collage boys had a very important because many of them are owner of some business so they may cause any emergency call as per me they should allow to use the mobile in college

My school allows it, but if you abuse it, like texting under class, it can be taken away from you for 3 days. We may use it as agenda, and we may do whatever we want during the breaks.

If you are inside in the classroom, The phones should be turned off or in silent mode or vibrating mode (silent mode or vibrating mode in case if you are expecting your parents to call in case of emergency) in order to have focus in anything you are doing inside the classroom, If class breaks has initiated, the phones should be turned on to normal mode.
