I didn't see it on the first 1-2 pages of suggestions, and dunno if you had it previous or w/e..

Pretty self explanatory..

What about a shoutbox at the top of the site?

I feel shout boxes take away from the purpose of a forum and most activity seems to go to them. Plus, their bulky, slow loading times, and really unattractive.

So, no.

No...because It will take down all of the forum activity . nobody will want to post and just use the shoutbox. I've seen shoutboxes completel ruin forums before.

Forum activity would go down the drain due to everyone having constant conversation about the thread they would have made if there wasn't a shoutbox.

It will hurt forum activity, has been denied before, and frankly shout boxes just don't go together with forums too well. They suck the living life out of their activity.

It would kill the server load, I'd say looking at the activity. It would get rid of forum activity, it would bring even more spam, and no.

1. You make rules for the Shoutbox. IEO- You can't sell shit etc, so the markets get used

2. If it kills your server load your host is fucking garabage

3. If anything, it would make me be more active because that's one thing I love about forums, I think it helps bring community members closer together.

Look at Hacking(dot)RS for example, not trying to compare you guys but..

There are 100$\200M donators with 100-300 posts and been there for months. Yes they aren't THAT active with posting, but if there wasn't a shoutbox some said they wouldn't use the site at all.

Threads: 35,456, Posts: 348,992, Members: 5,892, Active Members: 2,928

Currently Active Users: 129 (105 members and 24 guests)

Forum was created 2 weeks into 2011.

Again, not trying to advertise or flame, but I think a shoutbox is a central point for communities imo.

And btw, as you say I flame etc or w/e it is. People may dislike me because they think I'm arrogant or cocky, but I can assure you my attitude is 100% different between forum posts\shout box and MSN.
