Hey guys, just wanted to share with you all my sleeping patterns. I find it to be a bit different then most others. and if you have any suggestions to being able to help me on solving/fixing this it could be greatly appreciated.
Now, my sleeping pattern strictly consists of this. Waking up at 6AM, sadly, going to summer school, coming home around 2PM and taking a nap around 3PM to 4PM. That being said once i wake up at 4PM i'm usually up until about 3-4AM, then waking up at 6AM. So on and so on.
Now at first my body was just naturally a disaster, i couldn't eat, hell i could hardly move for about the first couple of days. Currently the fact of the matter has been I have energy more, after i wake up from sleeping an hour in the middle of the day. Nonetheless I want your guys opinions on how i should go about changing this, or is this even healthy. Thanks guys
No, it's not healthy, especially if you're younger. It can be physically and mentally draining with such a lack of sleep.
From my experience, to change it, I've set my alarm for earlier, and refused myself the sleep i'd wanted, in order to ensure I'd sleep at night. Just resist the urge to nap, and get to bed earlier.
As someone who's been to countless sleep specialists its really a good idea to skip the nap. It might take a few days, and trust me when your body is used to sleeping at a certain time it can be hell, but its really better for you to sleep more at night than what you say you're getting. In total it seems like you get 3-5 hours of sleep a night, I assume you're a teenager, so you should be getting over 8 hours of sleep, skip the nap and go to sleep at 9-10pm, you'll be able to get up at 6am with enough energy to make it through the day. If you need drink tea (not coffee) to give yourself a boost, make sure it isnt something that'll make you crash later on though.
