@Cessate A fact that you cant truly dispute is that several of the members of the band ARE really talented. Joey the drummer is absolutely incredible, and even if you cant respect the "roar," you should hear Corey Taylor sing for real, whether it be one of the slower Slipknot songs or a Stone Sour song. I understand most Slipknot fans are mindless headbangers, but from a musician's point of view, they are a very good, talented band.
