Is there a way to know what the maximum transfer rate for your USB flash drive is? The reason I ask is because I always watch films on my Xbox that I put on my USB flash drive but my Xbox will not recognize the files unless the flash drive is using the FAT32 file type. The downside about using the FAT32 file type rather than the usual NTFS file type is that when I'm transfering files from my HD to the flash drive, it takes extremely long. I'm talking about speeds under 1MB per second. However, when I copy the files to my flash drive having formatted it to the NTFS file type, it transfers at around 1-2MB per second.
As I said, is there a way I can see what my flash drive should be transferring at? As in, it's maximum capability?
Here's the flash drive I'm using.
Edit: This is fustrating. The flash drive I have is discontinued and I can't find any information on it. It's a green 2GB Kingstion Data Traveler (Generation 1). It seems like the first generation has been wiped clean and all I can find is second and third generation drives. Anyone wanna do some recon for me? I just need to find out its specs, such as maximum transfer speed, etc.
