There is a minimum character limit of 20. But when you quote someone, it counts towards the character limit.

Every character in your post, whether visible or not, gets counted towards the character limit.

Which means even things such as:

[color=ffffff][/color]

count as 22 characters, so anything you put in the post will pass the test.

I made a plugin a while ago that stripped all mybb code out of a post and ran the plaintext against the character limit, but I'm not sure if I still have it.

I'm not on the computer at the moment so I can't check.
