so I'm in this dilema..

I suffer from severe depression and lots of psychological disorders. the only thing that helps me is marijuana but I am on probation. I have tried killing myself a few times before and went to rehab for being addicted to pills. now I take anti depressants which don't work. what do I do? I can't use my cannabis without getting in trouble with my PO. using other drugs is out the question. my medicine doesn't work. I used to cut my wrist but I'll be put in an in-patient facility if I do that again. what should I do? p.s. I live in new Orleans where it is still illegal to have cannabis.

I live in cali, and it is legal for patients with a medical card but it is still illegal on the federal level.

I went through a stage of depression last year, i got help and talked about how i felt so i know how you feel. These are somethings that were recommended for ME and i personally think they're good.

#1. Doing exercise. This will relax you and lighten your mood.

#2. Getting out there with your mates. Getting together with your mates can take your mind off your problems and really make you feel better, if you can't go out, text them or keep in contact.

#3. When i was feeling down i would feel better if i went and played xbox with my mates or just talked to other people on it, it took my mind off things.

I struggle with depression as well. I cope as naturally as possible because I dont want to be dependant on medication, but it seems this chemical imbalance is winning the battle. New Zealand is right, start excercising. Your body releases endorphines that will give you somewhat of a natural high, but overall a mood brightener and confidence stabilizer. This is your best bet when considering natural remedies. Hang out with friends when you can, but I know im introverted and insecure and dont always like doing that. Its hard man, just start lifting. Pick up a hobby, reading is an excellent choice.
