So my father got a band now.

He auditioned for a city classic/heavy metal band and got in it. I know most of you won't like the songs but here is the band's myspace. The songs are REALLY outdated, couple years old. The singer is really talented though. Firestick is a weird name though. :l

It says the UK on their myspace because the singer (creator of band) has been moving all over the place these past couple years. They are actually trying to make it big. I don't see them getting that big though since many people like all the HARDCOREHXCSCREAMOSTUFF. They are more of a mellow/heavy metal band. Something along the lines of Led Zep and Judas Priest.

The singer also almost got into the band, Judas Priest. (The first band to do (Scream metal, not screamo, scream metal)

I have to say that i am excited. They might be playing a festival during the summer somewhere in manhattan. Can't wait.

He's much better then any guitarist playing nowadays and im not just saying that because he is my father.

That's pretty cool that your father can sing. I don't know if I would find it annoying or cool if my father was in a band since his singing is embarrassing around others.

Also, about them not getting big. I reckon they could if they put enough effort into it.
Not everyone likes the heavier stuff.

Yes, there is a possibility. The singer knows people in the business, so maybe it can happen. They have people giving them money already for equipment. It would be awesome to see FirestickVEVO on youtube though.

Yes. he has been playing since he was my age. He had a great band that was playing in clubs (him and his friends). He also met bon jovi at a record store. But sadly, drugs messed his band up. The band was called, Torra, if im not mistaken. I can probably find a picture of them and post it on this thread.
