In a normal post, I can see that he's a 'Writer', but I think it should also be known that he's a moderator. If I was a new member, it would be misleading.

If anything, make 'Moderator' their primary group and throw 'Writer' in the additional group section.

For mods, it should always show they are a mod maybe not with the bar though. Having multiple userbars would just crowd up if you have too many.

Well, have the most important ones displayed and the less significant (I.E. RG Elite) hidden.

In my opinion, moderator is more important than writer.

It works both way. You can set either one as your display group. Moderator is our primary display group so we can't leave it. But it's that way on any forum really, if you change your userbar people wont be able to tell you're a mod. It's a non issue.

or they should have the Name for example Mod - Pink Floyd, this way they can choose there usergroup but be known as a moderator.
other members who arnt modators should not be able to put that to there names.

I think you're thinking of a user title. Those can be customized as well, but as Moderator, the default is moderator.

It's their choice of what userbar to use.
