I am making this thread so that I can neatly put all of my suggestions in one place. I am going to put all suggestions that I have already made and put them right here until resolved. Once resolved I will cross them out. I will also add more here as I think of them.

Suggestions

  • Categories of Guides & Articles
Under the "Guides & Articles" tab, if you look to the right there are some "Categories" you can choose from. However, if I click one such as "Rune Scape" a random guide in that category will pop-up. And at the bottom it will show a few related articles. Why not show a list of all the guides in that category so the user can choose which guide they want to view?

  • Warning Message
Sometimes when I'm typing out my comment another person comments before I post it. This sometimes makes my comment seem redundant. Other times after I realize someone posted a comment while I was creating mine, I go back and edit mine to respond to their comment as well. Not much of a problem really. But it would be kind of nice to have a warning message letting you know that another comment has been posted while you were typing out your comment. Example: I read every message in thread and decide I want to give my input on the topic. So I start typing out my comment and when I finish I hit post. But oh wait! A warning message just popped up saying another comment has been made. I would then be able to click an option to view the newest comment to the thread and edit my comment appropriately, or post my comment anyway without viewing the newest comment.

  • Navigation
It would also be nice if there was a way to go up from a thread you are reading back to the section that the thread was in without hitting the back button on your browser or without having to hit "Forums" and go through other buttons again. It isn't very convenient. (I am using the default layout of the forum which non premium members must use if I am not mistaken)

I'm gonna comment on your stuff from bottom to top because.

If you switch to the GameMe theme, there is a thread directory on the top of the page, and the links are clickable.

I'm not sure, but I know that this option is built in to many forum softwares, such as phpBB. It is very easy to make, just check if the amount of posts now != the amount of the posts when the page first loaded.

The guides page is VERY confusing, could do for a revamp. Such as a sortable list of all the guides.

I would like there to be navigational links like that with the new default theme.

Non-premium members don't have the option to switch to the GameMe theme so we need to keep improving the default theme for the sake of new members. Also for the sake of users like me who have gotten used to the new default theme and don't want to switch to the other one. =p

Thanks for the feedback. I have updated the guides and articles page to now show all guides on the right hand side as links to make it easier for users to be able to navigate through. I have also added a link above the comments which shows the author and a link to their forum profile page.

With the breadcrumbs that is being added in right now, and there are also some fixes coming along for PM page and member profiles.

The post warning can be added in, I need to speak to Darth about that one.

Thanks
