i have had the same problem when you open nudges just go to most recent nudge option and it will open up all the nudges to see which one is actually the nudge

Go to http://runegear.net/forums/nudges.php, and click every one of them that is bold, should fix it, not sure.

The reason for this is because when one person quotes you, a nudge is received. When someone else quotes the person that quoted you before, then another nudge is received. This is because your quote ends up in the posts of others even if they aren't directly quoting you.
