So what is SOTW?
SOTW (Signature of The Week) is a weekly competition held by our forums to give our RG artists a chance to 'show off' by creating signatures based on specific themes.
How does it work?
A user will create a signature (such as a tag) based around the weekly theme. They will then PM that signature to the person hosting the SOTW(Cona) before the deadline. Once the deadline has been met, a voting thread will be created and members of RG will be able to vote for their favourite signature out of all the entries. When voting is over, the user with the most votes will be the winner of that SOTW.
Of course, there are rules!
To keep the competition fair, all entrants should follow the following rules:
Premades are not allowed - the entry you submit should be created after SOTW opens, signatures made prior to that time will not be accepted.
One signature per person - users may not submit multiple entries.
No ripping - all work should be original and entirely your own.
You may not vote for yourself
Submissions are kept anonymous before and during voting.
You must keep to the size limit & your entry should have some sort of relevance to the theme.
If you have won 1 SOTW, you may not enter the next SOTW for a consecutive win. This is just to keep the game fair for everyone, and hey, even pros need a rest
Those who do not follow these rules will be disqualified and may also face an infraction/ban.
What prizes am I eligible for?
Honour - everyone loves winning, and with winning SOTW, you get to feel that fantastic moment of personal achievement and pride.
Your entry in our SOTW Hall of Fame - If your signature manages to win, we'll add you and your entry permanently into our Hall of Fame.
And some other shit I'll figure out later
All members are able to enter, and we encourage everyone to try! Please don't hesitate to submit an entry, even if you don't think you'll win, you might just surprise yourself!
