Well for a start, use the on screen keyboard, then try and do a system and driver update.

Go to a computer repair shop, they should be able to fix it.

In the mean time if you care about using spaces, just highlighted a space and put it on copy and paste.
You may then be able to Google your problem and fix it.

Is the laptop stolen, or truly second hand and where did you purchase it from, a person IRL or on the internet.

Because if it wasn't working when you purchased you deserve compensation or a full refund.
