Yeah, well Tokyo ghoul had a very good run, I was mind when on the cover it showed kaneki carrying someone under a blanket, but i never would've known it'd be his friend.

Yeah, I was really surprised :'( In the manga he didn't die so that was cool but for the anime I think they could've explained more you get me?

Yeah, I'm really hoping they make another season as I really like to watch an animated version of that anime considering how cool it was.

Yeah it sucked that Hide died but heck he wasn't that important of a character, yes I did get sad before you say I'm heartless.

Hide's death isn't confirmed, it is suggested that he died. But seeing how the manga and anime will now take the same turn and story again, and Hide isn't confirmed or even rumored dead in the manga then its possible that he is still alive. (In the manga he is simply "missing" along with a great deal of other characters.) The 3rd season of the anime will feature Haise Sasaki as the main character as far as I know, as it will follow the manga again. Other than that, I disliked the ending of the anime a lot. For 2 reasons. First it would be that Ken never fought Arima on-screen like he did in the manga, then secondly it would be the meeting with Hide which generally makes no sense.

This is actually faulty on many levels. Hide is one of the most important characters in the series. He is a defining trait in Ken's character, he is a defining trait in the CCG and probably the Aogiri Tree. (Judging by the events in the manga.) Hide is the reason Ken became who he is, and the reason Ken didn't lose it. (Like he did in the manga.) So no, he is an important character.

I wish Kaneki had stayed a part of Aogiri Tree but hey, what can I do? I'm just a kid who likes evil Kaneki.
On subject to what you said I now see Hide as an important character, still didn't offer much though as a character regardless of what he did. Like all he did was post mail and get his head stomped on by Nishiki. He also helped Kaneki as you stated.

Originally, Kaneki wasn't even part of the Aogiri. (Manga) Also, he was never evil. He was part of the Aogiri simply because they offered what he needed, power.

Okay I'm just stopping here, you obviously know too much about Tokyo Ghoul. I literally just pretend I know the storyline when all I know is vaguely what's going on and who the majority of the characters are..

Oh c'mon obviously I understand the story that may have been a slight exaggeration but I mean like, damn how do you know so much that's beyond the core story?
Does the manga show a different perspective or something that I'm missing?

In the manga, after Ken escapes the Aogiri tree he battles Ayato and beats him easily. (Basically, Ken breaks half of Ayato's bones before escaping with the rest of Anteiku.) After this, and this is where the anime goes different, after this Ken doesn't go back to Aoigiri but rather form his own group with the friends he made along the way. (Tsukiyama, and some deserters of Aogiri along with "The Daughter" ghoul from Anteiku.) Following this, he goes around trying to solve the problems he has and helping his friends bu killing off the Aogiri. This is where he finds Rize who is still alive, and being used to create more ghouls like him as well as bump into other ghouls that causes him problem. When the final attack starts and Anteiku is being attacked, Ken returns and beat Amon. After this he loses a lot of blood and meets Hide before passing out. When he wakes up, Hide is gone and Ken moves on. Soon after, Ken meets Arima and he loses control. Ken is defeated by Arima, though he ruins one of Arima's weapons. After this, Arima heads to fight "The Owl".

Which chapter should I start with on the manga, if I finished s2 of the show?

I like the sound of this storyline, it would've been nice to have seen it being implemented.

I'd recommend starting at around chapter 64 which is where the fight between Yamori and Ken starts. (Though I would generally recommend that you read the entire manga, as it differs from the anime in several places. Such as Kureo Mado's death, in the manga he loses and arm and leg before dying.) Though, the anime did follow the same storyline as the manga until Yamori's death. (The moment the stopped following the manga was when Ken and Ayato's fight was stopped before it had really started.)

Originally, the manga artist wanted the manga to have the storyline that the anime has now, but he was unable to do it in the manga. So with the anime, he rewrote the story to something he originally wanted, however I assume it had to be altered a little to fit with the time-skip coming up. In other words, the manga is the original illustrated story, though I think the anime was the one written first or at the very least, it is written by the same person. Though the manga version makes more sense.
