Staff Neutrality

Hi guys,

From observation it is clear that certain staff have the habit of neg repping and holding grudges against regular users. I don't believe that these childish qualities should be allowed to show in a staff member. Staff are here to effectively keep the site clean and safe, not to start arguments and so on. Therefore does it not follow that staff members should be relatively neutral towards users? I understand that the staff may not like certain users, but that is no reason to behave differently towards them, unless of course you are dealing with them or in another situation where trust matters. I think if a user wants to become staff, then they have to abandon grudges against other players and become neutral to all. It makes the site fairer and more equal.

You are 100% right childish things as you mentioned above should be discarded and throw away if you don't like them that doesn't mean you treat them any different or be quicker to give them warning levels etc.

I don't want to sound too serious, but this somehow reflects well on discrimination. The fact that some staff are taking advantage of their higher position is just shameful. We may be different in terms of what we do here, but treating an individual differently because of a grudge is pretty much unwise.

Not sure who your referring to, but I can see this leading to a "heated" discussion. :/

Heated discussions are not tolerated in public on the Forum, if you have a problem please Pm that member.

I've noticed this when I checked several members reps.

Take the diapers out and just call out the user. But it won't end well, so this thread isn't necessary. I suggest for you to message that user and handle the situation between you both.

It's not a particular user, it can be numerous staff members to numerous normal members. He's just pointing out whats right from wrong which people here don't like.

People get too comfortable with being wrong and when the time comes to be right they automatically think that right is wrong.

That's pretty much what I was saying. I don't have a personal problem with any staff members, as I said this is merely from observation. I'm not trying to start an argument.

In other words, you are not entitled to an opinion, you do not have the ability to publicize the opinion you're not allowed to have, and if you have a problem with it PM staff about it then enjoy your ban.

OT: Staff should not be allowed to give rep if they can't receive it. Two-way streets people.

Vouch for this Kev. The repping is completely unfair as well.

Seriously, just use common sense. Everyone thinks that Staff are here to abuse Power. It's a straight NO. Nobody looks at the good side and at the amount of work we do. At the end of day, you end up being hated by people. Why? Because we don't agree with users. Remember, you don't run the place. Staff do. The past and present staff have the been running the forum for 2 years, and will continue to. This is Internet, an online forum. Democracy exists in real life. Not online. This is an online forum. By registering, you agree to the rules made by Staff. People are simply immature not to be able to handle negetive rep, bad image and truth. If you can't, then why simply make the mistake? If a Staff doesn't like you for a Genuine reason, they have every right to leave personal opinion on you. And, you deserve it. We don't have Staff who just sit around, doing nothing. Learn to respect them and what they do. It's pathetic enough to be racist towards staff, beg them to change userbar, so that you can neg them. If you think you can't handle this, just turn off your PC and think maturely.
