I see so many people who think they can walk into the forums industry with no prior webmaster experience and buy a 10 dollars domain, throw a over used theme and add some plugins to the MyBB forums software and think they will have a successful forums.
As appealing as that all sounds this is not true.
I think of it like this
You either need to have money or to have skills, money to buy the people who have the skills or skills to be able to provide your forums with the things it needs.

Personally I have been working with MyBB since 2008 and I still have to ask people about some of the more advanced things, you cannot learn to become a webmaster over night.

Another thing I see people doing is recruiting a 10 person team, now this is also bad as anyone who gets involved with someone who makes a thread saying "want to make hack3r forums plz help need team" is probably not to experienced either.

Even with the skills you will still need money for advertising unless you have another way to get it.

If you have any questions post them here.

Thanks

Please link me to some of your mybb forums. You're saying you started being a webmaster when you were 9 years old? You're also saying the first version of mybb you used was RC2.

Your'e not a web master.

Wikipedia 2nd paragraph definition of a web master:
Webmasters may be generalists with HTML expertise who manage most or all aspects of Web operations. Depending on the nature of the websites they manage, webmasters typically know scripting languages such as JavaScript, PHP and Perl. They may also be required to know how to configure web servers such as Apache HTTP Server (Apache) or Internet Information Services (IIS) and be a server administrator. Further, webmasters may also act as website designers on smaller-scale sites.[3].

Please show where you have completed scripting in any of the languages in the above paragraph. Just even some HTML you have coded anything that can back your claims up.

Where in the above paragraph did I say I was a webmaster.

And I can configure webservers.

Then why don't you?
No offence intended here, but you claim that you've accomplished so much with hacking, webmaster, programming, etc. But where is any of the proof? I am not doubting your ability
maybe a little...
But before you go bragging about these kind of things, please provide evidence.

I have set up web servers before. I got into a lot of sites but you are not allowed to post databases here.

And this is not meant to be a thread about what I can accomplish.

It's not runescape related.

But I don't see why you can post runescape site databases but not regular site databases

I agree. I have a site and I currently need a Web Developer. We have everything unless a Web Developer (we own a RSPS). I work with vBulletin though.
