I have been sick for a week now - flu. It is a combination of colds, sore throat, fever and cough. I had to make a sick leave from work as well as my writing gigs. This has been my longest days of suffering from flu. According to my doctor, it was due to the weather change, insufficient sleep and over worked. So, she advised me to have sufficient sleep and rest, but she noted more on not working and I had to sigh when hearing it. I missed working, though I have to conform with the advice for my total recover.

I must say, now that I am sick because of those usual factors, I realized again that why am I so stubborn that I never care of my health sometimes. I am so focused with work and that I forget I am already sleep inadequacy. Now, I want to regulate my sleeping habits and make adjustments with my work load.

Yes, that is true most especially when you have a very low immune system. Most people who don't get enough sleep can't function well while some still can do their work as long as they can have at least 4-5 hours of sleep. But just the same, it's really important that a person gets enough sleep so to have enough energy for another day's routine.

Yes, It is said, "One who sleeps best can do best". Mind and body both are nourished by proper sleep. sufficient sleep is also necessary for good health.

I still say sufficient sleep is at least 8 hours. Especially that you are sick, you have to take a lot of rest. The body recuperates faster if we get a good amount of sleeping time because it heals all the worn out cells and tissues in the body. It's also good if we have a peace of mind so that recovery is faster.

A human being needed 6hrs of minimum sleep from 24hrs of a day. If not taken it would effect your health and could result in danger for life if continued for long period of time.
