[Suggestion] Stop Sales

I think we should stop doing sales on upgrades. It takes away from the value of upgrades, and greatly takes away from the prestigiousness of Power+. I feel like the occasional/holiday sales were alright, but these monthly sales are just a little bit depressing.

There is a sale/discount thread about once every other week which is just ridiculous in my opinion. Power+ holds no prestige anymore, same with groups and awards. But let me not say too much before I get banned for voicing my opinion

Weren't you the one to like argue with Philly on most of the upgrade sales threads for how Power+ has lost its value or something.
If it was you then clearly it won't stop unless this site gets a stable source of funding to keep it running.

If Philly sells x10 Onyx, x10 Power, and x10 Donator, he would make around $400 alone just on that. I'm assuming that's an average per month. That's more than enough to pay for hosting. There doesn't need to be sales.

It doesn't matter anymore, Power plus used to have a bunch of rules before you could get it, now all you need is Onyx and donator its dumb. And I hope we all know why Philly does the discounts... And now people can buy their way into being a Mod now what kind of shit is that, there are like 8 Mods now SMH. The awards will never be "prestigious" as long as it is this easy to get them just by throwing a little $$ here and there.

Never said who paid for it or how they got it, I know @Color , @Fear and , @Greed . Deserve it but thats all the mods that FK needs with the amount of activity the site has. And Greed is not really on anymore from what i hear so.

People can think what they want but at no point did I pay for moderator/admin. In fact you'll find I've mainly just lurked for the past ~6 months moreso than anything else. I stressed repeatedly that I was happy to help if needed but did not ask for any position.

Edit: I guess money plays a factor as far as money establishing trust, but nothing beyond that. Fuck me though, the sheer number of reputation abuse reports I've sifted though, it's crazy. People'd be stupid to pay directly to go through these reports.

You aren't wrong. It isn't nice to see a status we once saw as prestigious to be levelled to very little. It has a backwards effect - we milk an upgrade as much as possible until it becomes irrelevant (everyone has it) and then we release a new one (investors etc). I don't like it either, but what's done is done and can't reversed without a shit load of complaints. In my opinion it was a mistake to sell out with all of those discounts, essentially giving out once prestigious/valuable pixels like they were candy. There are ways to help the situation (such as this suggestion) but let's be honest here, Philly isn't going to do it.

To be truthful, there is very little organisation amongst the staff members. We need to be actively cutting mods if they aren't doing their job. Me personally? I can only deal to multis/ban evaders and moderating the (dead as fuck) graphics section. [font=Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif]There are countless times where I see late night spammers and I can't do anything but report the posts and ban them.[/font][font=Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif] My current position isn't very useful due to my limited permissions. multis do not make the site shit if that's what you're implying. unless they shitpost. multis bring activity and donations to the site.
