Suggestion to deal with scammers.

Instead of just simply banning them which most of them don't really care about, why don't we make the consequences a little clearer?

If they scam with Paypal and are upgraded, it will obviously include their address and in most cases it will be their actual address they reside at. So why not drop it? Users can do what they wish from there but FK has no actual part in anything that may happen from the release of the dox.

It's a win-win. Scammers are dealt with and it will help prevent scamming. Something FK needs badly imo.

Just a suggestion :p

There are many obvious reasons on why this won't happen.
If Philly doesn't allow dropping doxes on other members, why would he himself ever 'drop' someone's address?
No matter what they did, no one deserves to be swatted/doxed just because someone has their address and charged back on a site upgrade.

Honestly, this is not a bright suggestion if you ask me.

That's a good point actually. Never took that into consideration. May not be such a good idea after all. It just popped into my mind so I may aswell speak it.

Isn't the posting of someone's personal information against the law?

No, because it is all public information.

It's public information and meant to keep confidentially. He isn't a member or a hacker to release peoples information and he could be held accountable for what happens if he were to release it. Bad idea. Just perm ban them.

Yeah I know, I do not agree with this suggestion. I was just simply stating that anyone can get someones personal information since it's public, so it's not illegal. But, if he gets it through confidential or fiduciary relationships it is than illegal, so possibly this Paypal thing would be illegal as well as, rude. Also, almost forgot that if he releases it to the public with an intent to hurt the person(s) he is dropping the dox on, he can be charged with conspiracy to commit criminal actions

Not EVERYONE can get it. Only clever people who use resources... If he was to release it and it wasn't public he could be held accountable to a degree if something bad were to happen.

It's already against the rules not to drop doxes, so I don't think that will be happening. What I do think is that something else should be done to make the person who got scammed feel a little better.

Anyone with knowledge, can get it, it's not hard at all to DOX someone, I am not saying I can do it to a great degree, just that if you are smart enough, you can do it. I have updated my other post, as you can see with additional information.

That's what I was trying to get across.

@Everyone else, yeah I know it was not the best idea but something else needs to be done other than a perm ban.
