I was just thinking about it, and wouldn't it be nice if we could tag someone in a post to where they get a notification? Similar to "@" on twitter or something of the sort?

I was just posting in a group subforum, and I wanted to welcome a new member, but I don't know when he'll check it. So, therefor, the tagging idea came out.

Let me know what you guys think!
 
I like the system LF has, although I doubt there's any possibility of getting something like it for FK. There, you can input [@UID] and it will show their name, correct color, and link to your profile.

It'd just be nice to be able to tag someone in a post and give them an alert so they come to the thread instead of PM'ing them "Hey man check out *link for thread*". It would just save a lot of time and work really.
 
This was on RG! It went like this: @"username". It would then notify the user that they have been tagged in a post! It was extremely useful and I would love seeing this implemented!
 
We use to have this. There looks to be alerts now but they've only worked a few times for quoting on my profile.

That's what I'm talking about! Something where you can tag a user like that, and they receive an alert that lets them know.

I totally agree with your suggestion. This is an outstanding thread, and I hope to see this implemented very soon.
 
A yes or a no from staff or Philly would be nice.

Thank you! I'd like to see it implemented as well, but staff and Philly have been avoiding this thread like it has herpes.

This will be added, I am pretty sure that I will have to get this custom made however.
