Swap spaced tag directly?

I just got news along with picture proof that you can swap a spaced tag directly to the original without swapping it to something random. Can anyone else add onto this with their knowledge?

Damn, wish I would've known this, I swapped my spaced one onto a new account lol. It's on my new main now so it's cool but had a mini heart attack swapping it

EDIT: this is false, it won't let me swap directly.

Nah apparently it's true.

@Beats or someone posted a tut on how this is done wayback. I remember this also being spoken of wayback too and a few people 'Apparently" doing it and being succesful.

If someone knows how to do this it'll be greatly appreciated if you could PM me the method or lead me to the so called thread. I have tried swapping directly and doesn't work so I was gonna wait a year before I un-space all my spaced tags. Safety first! lol

Just looked through each page of his threads. There is nothing regarding spaced tags.

#Dreaming ... I didn't sit on these tags for this day to come just to lose them all. Gave some to IRL friends and Xbox buddies because people in these scene complain about the market being dead. When the community was the reason it is dead. I will give people a list of shit V1s that got reset and they can claim, but never my spaced tags.

I swapped my tag off of the account using my Xbox one, and then claimed it on the same account using Xbox.com

Yup, I can vouch. Claimed one of my spaced tags that got reset on the same account no problem. It's a pretty popular fighting game, if you find it, just check the feed on smartglass or your Xbox One to see when I made the change.
