PayPal recently fucked me, illegally that is. My teacher and I looked at everything and found over 16 terms they violated. So on those terms I am taking PayPal to small claims court. They cannot have a lawyer and neither can I. I know I will win because I have proof and they dont, also lied to me over 22 times over the phone. They will be giving my money back + 1,000$. The courts are serving PayPal tomorrow and we will see if they just give me it or fly a rep out to me. Lesson learned, Just because I'm 16 doesnt mean you can take advantage of me.

They will try anything not to pay you:

Age 18 is the legal limit. Under age 18, you need your parents assistance. Note, this not PayPal just being mean.

When you open a PayPal account, you are agreeing to a binding legal contract. Before an individual can enter into a binding legal agreement known as a contract, he or she must meet the legal contract age. The legal contract age is also referred to as the age of majority, which is 18 years old in most jurisdictions.

Minors usually cannot enter into a legally binding agreement such as a contract because they are not old enough to be held accountable for their actions. if such an instance occurs wherein a party of legal contract age enters into a legally binding agreement with one who is not of legal contract age, the latter may void the agreement in the event that the terms and conditions cannot be fulfilled by him or her. However, if the party of legal contract age commits a contract breach, he or she can be held accountable to the minor who entered into the agreement with him or her.

Since you're 16 I think you're not at the legal age to have a PayPal account. I hope I'm wrong and you get your money back.

There are no terms for me to apply on because I'm not 18 if that makes sense.

PP is a huge company. You already committed fraud by having an account under the age of 18 so you shouldn't even be on there in the first place. If they can't win, they'll keep pushing it until you finally bore and stop trying to get your money. GG if by some miracle you win, but I don't see that happening.

So much truth in this post.

Sorry OP, but you're out of luck in this one.

While him being 18 means the terms don't apply to him, it also means that he is not eligible for the services of PayPal without permission from a Parent or a Legal Guardian.

They will use that against you, so be ready to get shut down quick if you have nothing for this. Sorry buddy :(

They could actually get you even more fucked because you agree that you are 18+, which here you clearly state you're not, so that is also called fraud... You should rethink this.

I see you point, but I can't see you winning if you aren't old enough to technically even have a pp account.

Dude you just got yourself fucked over for fraud. You violated the TOS by being under age when you signed up for PP, therefore they don't have to be held accountable to any agreement you made since it was fraudulent from the start. Enjoy the next few years in the legal system.

This is what I was thinking.
Mind me asking what exactly you're going to be attempting to charge them with? Just saying they fucked you over because you broke their terms of service won't get you far.
