The Christian God

Well here's my argument about why the Christian God does not exist.

1.
I will now pray to the God Ra, and pray to him that the coin that I will flip 50 times will land on heads. Obviously it doesn't.
I will now Ra's most trusted followers to do the same thing, same result.
Any logical thinker will now think that Ra does not exist.

Now switch the God to Jesus Christ.
You might argue that Jesus won't answer such a irrelevant prayer, however nowhere in the Bible does God say "Do not pray to me about coin tosses"

If you don't like this example, lets switch to another one.
"O God, may you please fulfil your promise which you made in so many bible verses and cure everyone in the world from cancer?"
Still not happening :-/

2.
Adam and Eve had 2 sons, Cain and Abel.
Cain killed Abel.
There are now 3 people in the world, Adam, Eve and Cain.
How did Cain reproduce :s

Incest baby, incest. To add to that argument, Christians say that the big bang theory is false because the universe couldn't have come from nothing... Well... where did god come from then? Oh, he has always existed you say? Couldn't the universe have just always existed?

Well that is true, the universe has been around a lot longer, it has always existed, and that is true, i've thought of that before, if adam and eve were the first humans, and her surviving son, there had to have been incest, or just more dad on mom.
never know Cain could have been Gay? and liked his dad...... ew gross thought.

As for your second statement, the book of Genesis is not to be taken as a historical book. It was written by a Jewish prophet long ago only to describe how everything came to be using stories. It makes use of parallelisms and symbolism.

Wasn't Cain sent to the dark part of the world after he killed Abel?

1) But what happens if I do get a coin, and it lands on heads 50 times after me praying to Jesus?
2) Genesis shouldn't be taken literally, as said by bukomao, it makes use of parallelisms and symbolism.

By the dark part do you mean Russia? (Sorry Sir, I just had to do this)
No he wasn't sent anywhere, and even if he was, it just supports this argument.

1) Well according to the rules of probability, there is a very small possibility that you would get head 50 times continuously. My point is that praying to Jesus Christ does not change the rules of probability.

Adam and Eve had hundreds of children. Why would they only have 2 sons? Have you read the Bible?

Prayer isn't for personal gain. It's not mainly for "asking" either. Prayer is a way of talking to God and thanking him. So many people think prayer is just for "asking". It's not.

Fair enough point maplman.
However in the process of thanking God, almost every single person always asks God for a favour.
Can you possibly show me the verse where it says that Adam and Eve had hundreds of children? I never stumbled across that before.

I can't show you an exact verse but I remember somewhere it says something like he made his family swear they wouldn't tell who killed abel.........?? So that proves they had more then 2 children.

(Genesis 5:4) The days of Adam after he fathered Seth were 800 years; and he had other sons and daughters.

I love Google

Anyways, it doesn't mention "hundreds". I just supposed they had lots of children.

ah, ok, fair enough.
That point is destroyed then...
How about my other argument though?

I WILL answer your first point, just not right now , just keeping this here as a reminder to make sure I post back

Well the thing is if you believe in prayer you don't ask god for something unnecessary like if this coin can land on heads. You ask him help to get through one more day.

I've tried this argument SO many times. Most of the responses are "well you're interpreting the bible wrong. .-. wow, eh?

Not really, they would still have to commit incest. Meaning that we are all committing incest and we look NOTHING like the original humans. The theory of Adam and Eve is pure nonsense.

Well there were so many mixtures it would be weird if we looked liked Adam. Do dogs look like the first dog species ever?
