What do you think would be the most humane form of death penalty, the electric chair, gas chamber, injection or guillotine?

Definitely injection. Electric chair would fry them, gas would suffocate them, and guillotine is just outdated. Injection is a simple shot and then they're done.

Side note - I'm not for death penalty. ;)

Well, why should it be the most humane one? They get the penalty from doing something so horribly wrong in the first place. Let them suffer the consequences. Plus the guillotine is the least amount of pain, they don't feel a thing.

Injection would be the obvious choice to the most humane. On the other hand, I believe the severity of the crime should determine what method of punishment should be used.

Highly debatable, but my beliefs are that nobody deserves to be killed, regardless of their crime. Locked away for the rest of their life is worse if you ask me. But killing is wrong.

I am totally against being killed as a result of disobeying rules/laws. Even if the offender has killed someone. Or many, it's still a bad thing.

If i had to choose, it would be by injection, as electric chair is frightening, and also depressing.
Guillotine, i think we're out of that stage.

Gas chamber would be my 2nd choice, if not injection.

The goal of the death penalty is not to be humane. It's supposed to be a punishment for committing an act of murder, therefore, the only possible punishment must be as harsh as an execution can be.

There's two kind of men in this world.

One's with loaded guns, and ones who dig.

You dig.

I don't like capital punishment, but for some people I think it's justifiable. For example people who enjoy raping/killing others (especially kids). Those people are sick and have no place in the world.

I think the most humane would be either Lethal injection or gas chamber.

Lethal injection - is relatively quick, and painless. Plus the 3-man squad, one with the killing agent is a good idea. It alleviates guilt from the squad.

Gas chamber - I believe they use a gas that makes you unconscious and then kills you. I read about it a while ago.

The judge sentences them to the death penalty, what if the Judge picked how the person die but if the judge wanted to leave it up to the prisoner. He has 1 week to pick how he wants to go then they do all the paper work, he is on death row for how ever many years then he goes the way he wanted.

The should use the guillotine for the death penalty. Also your death should be public.

I don't agree with the death penalty at all, however if I had to choose I would say the injection because its simple, fast and their is no pain.

Not at all, if society had that view their would still be public executions and people being ripped limb from limb. Do you really what to live in a society with that in it? ... I know I wouldn't.
