When someone is dying and they "see the light". What do you think that is?

I really have no clue.

I've never personally heard of this happening in real life, only in movies and stuff. I don't think you see a light when you die, if anything its probably just a metaphor.

So pretty much all this says is that people have unusual experiences when they are in dire or unusual situations.
I would assume your mind is able to project more thoughts or experiences depending on what you're experiencing.
There are things similar to this like astral projections and OBEs. They are very likely projections of your sub conscious mind trying to make sense of the thoughts and emotions.

Lololol that gave me a chuckle. When you are born, and when you are dying, your brain releases massive amounts of DMT (the chemical responsible for dreaming) so whatever you imagine the afterlife or
(death) to be like, is often what you'll see. That's why people from different parts of the world, and of different religions experience different things, convenient to their religion.


It's no different than having a strong thought and dreaming about it later. There
