Maybe you should put it on the front forum page like you did with the IRC channel.
This way people can click it easily, as well as see it and let it remind them to click it everyday. It being in a thread like it is now is an easy way to forget about it.
Just a suggestion though, what do you guys think?

The Elite, I know a better way. I saw it implemented on another forum. It is sort of like a splash page that shows up every 24 hours. I'll PM you the link to the site so you can see what I mean.
