The Universe Ending

The universe WILL end at one point. All the stars will die out eventually, even though it may be 20 billion years from now. Nothing lasts forever. We talk about moving to another planet by 500 million years to escape the suns hydrogen explosion which will destroy Earth.

But eventually, what's the point? Every star in the universe will be gone in billions of years time, leaving the universe a black pit of nothing.

Then what?

What "exists" after that if you get what I mean?

Discuss.

Yeah, I read the Sun will be out of energy and done in about 5 billion years :(

Good news is, I'll be long dead when that time comes around :p

Unless they found out a way to make you biologically immortal.

Which is another topic in itself :p

Well, a star's death is the birth of a new one. Raw material is recycled into the birth of a new star. The concept of "time" doesn't exist really. Because parallel universes come into play, and those are like freeze-times. So technically, you're still reading the first sentence of this post. The universe will continue to exist, forever.

If there's other universes that exist, we may be able to go through to them.

The only way to do that would be to go through a wormhole.

The problem is we don't know if we can get back and we don't know what that universe may be like.

Humans are expected to go extinct long before then as well. I don't know if new stars are created or not but either way there's so much time before this that it doesn't really matter at all.

I'm just saying...

And no, stars aren't created anymore. Also, I think humans will exist, but they will have evolved into something unrecognizable.

I heard the sun will burn out in 2 billion years.

They don't know exactly. But it'll get hotter and hotter until eventually in about half a billion years, it'll be about 20+ degree's hotter.

What exists now?

How can we prove our existence? Why are we really here?
