The legend of Pope Joan tells the story of a woman who served the Catholic papacy hiding their sexual identity. The pontificate of Pope Joan is usually between 855 and 857, ie, according to the official list of popes, Benedict III accounted for at the time of the usurpation of Anastasius the Librarian. Other versions say that the very Benedict III was the woman dressed up and others say that the period was between 872 and 882, ie the Pope John VIII.la woman who was pope

they think about this?

She had to choose a feminine name of a saint, so the period would be easier to know! I'm not interested in Church, but I'm glad that a woman becomed pope, in my opinion God doesn't like the Church's chauvinism.
