Hello

As much as I do like the banner, the theme doesn't look particularly professional at all. It looks like any random forum you'd encoutner online and it doesn't look the least appealing to me.

I've seen a few sites get a good start from just having a good theme, clean layout and professional approach to their members/customers.

Also, in the future, no offense to anyone but I hope someone else will do the artwork. That informative notice about the free hosting looks... well, awful.
Text glow is the first thing any rookie reaches for, for a flashy effect.

Again, no offense to anyone. Constructive criticism is what this is, not me trying to upset anyone.

No one will get offended lol .

We had a very professional theme, but I'm hoping for this site to strive on community. Communitys generally like fun and excentric themes. Hack forums, Runegear the lot have fun themes. We have some decent modifications, and it works well with this theme. We can change that announcement up the top but it's there to inform users about the competition, not to look nice really.

I personally feel this theme works well for professionalism and is fun at the same time. It's light, graphical and generally easy on the eye in my opinion. But, if lots of the members feel we should change, I will most certainly change it back to what it was.

I think it's OK but it's not exactly eye-candy. Easy on the eye, yeah probably but I wouldn't say it's particularly appealing.

also, lol i was just afraid to be labeled a flamer.

Lol .

Well if you want you can look on mybb.com or wherever and find a theme that you like, and we can discuss it from there? It's a pain changing themes because of plugins etc.

Ah, I see. Well, maybe develop your own theme? I've done that before on vbulletin and it's a lot easier than you may think.
Starting from scratch is a hassle, but if you use an existing theme as a starting point it's hella lot easier.

(i set up a vbulletin board and did that, was no trouble at all. no previous forum theming experiecne what so ever!)
