Things That I Think Should Be Implemented

Being a new member I can see that there are many things that should be changed. I will list everything and give my insight on things that should be changed. I will carefully read any comments that other people say towards this. I will debate so that my argument is on top. If I am beaten I will not pout nor shout. I will simply accept that I am wrong and that you are right. I will be starting from most important to non-important.

Number 1: Saturated Giveaways
The user Spiderman made a very good point on members who giveaway things they have just received in this thread. You can read what I have to say here or by reading the quote below. Whichever is easier for you is what I recommend you do.

People will give anything away to earn more reputation or to earn the award. That's what almost every single one of them are doing. Win something, give the same thing back, earn rep, rinse and repeat. They will also sometimes set it up to where a moderator or power+ user can win so they can earn more reputation. I think there should be a rule implemented for this, as it's very annoying and low quality. There should be at least a wait of exactly one month from when the winner was announced to be able to give the item(s) away again. You make a very good point Spiderman and I'm here to support you. I stand by your side in this.

Number 2: New Tutorial Section
The tutorial section would be a great new addition to ForumKorner. There's many nice tutorials that I have seen, but they're underground and hard to find. These shouldn't be placed throughout the giveaway section or stickies of certain sections. There should only be one place for tutorials and that should be somewhere in the lounge. There should also be two different sub sections for working and non-working tutorials. I will donate some of my time to view each and every single tutorial and see if they work or if they don't. This could clean the forum up and make tutorials easier to find.

Number 3: Off-site Deals
Shadow+ made a very great post here, but I just want to add some things. I've seen that the scamming section has grown to be sort of big and I do not like it at all. The only way to prevent scammers and to get rid of scammers is to completely get rid of them. Offsite deals are absolutely bullshit. If another member scams on or offsite, they should be forced to wear the Deal With Caution userbar and avatar for as long as they are on ForumKorner. I have heard on various different sites that the only reason why people won't come here is for the notorious scamming reputation. I think that ForumKorner can be better than that and the only way to do that is to auto-ban any banned member's I.P. address and wear the Deal With Caution userbar and avatar. ForumKorner is such a small site that there shouldn't be as many scam reports as there is now, but we can stop this. I think that this will definitely bring more people in and it will eliminate the scammer population. Don't get me wrong, but there will always be scammers.

I have noticed the #1 quite a bit.
Always seems to be a power+ or a high repped member who earns the giveaway, unless of course it is a giveaway for an upgrade.
No one will follow the rules on a giveaway, too many people connected.
Even when it comes to group recruitment's, they'll have some pretty tough requirements, and bam you'll see NO EXCEPTIONS, yet some members, since they are cool, can be an exception.
I honestly do not think these will be taken into consideration, and if they do, then that would be awesome.

Perfect i agree with all 3 points, very realistic and they shouldn't take too long to implement.

The last one I agree with to a point. I must ask though, where have you seen members of another site afraid to join FK because of scammers. From my personal experience, it's the best in dealing with scams, other than the off site stuff, which I agree 100% is bullshit.

Id also like to include: the first part about giveaways is pointless. People tend to giveaway the lesser (shit) items they have, yes. Really, who cares? Free is free, you can't complain about it. If you don't want it, simply don't enter.

As for the second part about the tutorial section, I agree, again, to a point. You mentioned some tutorials being stickied in whatever section it may be around the site. The only ones I can think of would be the ones in the gamertag section, etc. explaining how to successfully deal on forumkorner, hose should remain in place. Other than that, a tutorial section wouldn't hurt, though I imagine it'd end up inactive.

I agree, HF is the absolute worst to deal with scamming yet it is one of the biggest forums. FK deals with it the best, Philly actually gets involved and helps people out when someone scams. He doesn't just ban whoever without looking through all the facts. FK is definitely my favorite forum out of all I have tried.

As for the off site deals I think everyone should deal onsite, that's just me.
