Those who are familiar with this app; I have a couple of questions.

Do you need to be connected to wifi to reply/receive messages from someone who is sending text messages via this app?
Does it use up Data to reply/receive text messages from someone who is sending text messages via this app?
Same two questions but with voice calls?
Will it charge long distance charges if someone where to call me from this app with the same area code as me?

Just need these few questions answered as I have family in the states that I am trying to contact but do not want them to run up a bill.
So basically, if I use this app and put down my area code as theirs, will they get charged in any way for texts/calls that we make?

It does require Wifi/4g connection (Pretty sure), and it does NOT take up data. But I think calls are limited, and it might charge them for long distance calls, not 100% sure on this.

(sorry if my typing is garbage right now, pretty tired)

Will the person that's receiving the texts/calls need a wifi/4g connection?

Nope
All they need is phone service.
