I think it depend the person who is in front you.. If there is a parent, it's better lying and getting respect. But if it's just a "friend", you can telling truth..

i would prefer keeping mum on the topic if i get insult in speaking about it.i am telling you my honest answer.nobody wants to get insulted in any matter.people tend to hide it what they feel could be wrong for others.if a small lie is beneficial for me and is not doing bad to anybody else i would go with lie.

i think truth is better then insult firther u cannot face that matter if u don't tell truth you have to face it another time and you will be again and again lying so truth is better........

Better to say the truth than lie just to makE me feel okay! ACcepting the truth will make me a better person. It would more insulting if you are lying to me by saying good words then at my back you are saying bad thing about me!

I would rather tell the truth and being told the truth than telling a lie and being lied to. It is such a bad attitude to be a liar. If the person has any issues with me I would rather him say it straight to my face than being a back stabber. The truth will always set you free no matter how bad or ugly that truth is. Living in lies will make a hole so deep in your life that you will never get out of it and probably die with it.

Telling the truth is important. But it is a complicated matter. Sometimes we still need to assess what's gonna be the effect if we tell the truth. It may be helpful but there are cases that it could put someone into trouble. Sometimes too the truth could hurt, but being lied on hurt as well.

Telling the truth and getting insults are way better than false respect and lies. Insults are just part of daily lives to makes us stronger and better. And preventing it to commit a same situation like that in the future.

I think it depends on the way how you tell someone about the truth. It is where therapeutic communication takes place. Insults are there but it would be different if you tell it in a constructive way in which you will not actually be hurting someone but rather telling the truth in a subtle way. Of course, that also depends on the person and the situation. Sometimes, white lies does not hurt a thing.

Yes. Lying won’t ease the pain but will worsen the scenario. Better tell the truth and explain. If the person accepts it, good but if not, atleast give them time to accept it. There will come a time that they can accept the truth. But not necessary insult. It is a different thing. Just tell the truth and make them realize that it would be better if they know the truth for improvement.
