Hello peeps,

i gonna learn you how to make a Runescape Private Server.

1. Download WinRAR (www.winrar.nl) And install it (duh)
2. Download a Server (http://rapidshare.com/files/42377433/ScorpionScape_v3.0.rar.html)
3. Right click on the server map and press: "Extract Here"
4. Now you have to port forward OR Use hamachi. This is a copy from my other tutorial: How to make a Habbo Private Server.

4.1 Hamachi

4.1.1 Go to www.hamachi.cc
4.1.2 Download Hamachi
4.1.3 install and open Hamachi
4.1.4 Create a network
4.1.5 If you give the network details to other people they can lgin and play (if the server is on)

4.2 If you dont want hamachi, try port forwarding. Much people starts with hamachi because they dont know the password or dont know how to forward.

4.2.1 go to start on the left down corner of your screen.
4.2.2 open 'Run' (or something like that in other languages)
4.2.3 type command and click ok
4.2.4 typ ipconfig and press enter.
4.2.5 There is coming something like 192.168.2.1
4.2.6 type it into your web browser (if its 192.168.2.1, type http://192.168.2.1/)
4.2.7 log in
4.2.8 Somewhere you can find port forwarding, forward port 43594

That was Port forwarding or Hamachi. This is for the connections to your server/computer.

5. Client

For a Runescape Private server you dont have to use you'r own client.
We gonna use www.client.silabsoft.org/client.php

5.1 Make a site with a link to the Silabsoft Client, The IP of the server (your own ip, you can find it on www.whatismyip.com) (and possibly your hamachi details) and save it.

(Nice sites to make your own site are: www.webs.com www.piczo.com and some more)

6. Start your server

7. go to the client. press Excisting user and fill in something. If the account name and password not excists the account will be made.

by 'Server' You have to fill in your ip. look at www.whatismyip.com

if you follow all of these steps you will have your own Runescape Private server!

Problems? I'm not an expert but post it down here.

Hamachi is just the easy and cheap version.
Premium hamachi is $4.95 a month or $39 a year (unlimited users)
A dedi/vps can easily cost $20/month for a decent offshore.
(maybe 2gb ram and regular processor vps)
(or 1gb and core 2 quad on a dedi)
And hamachi is pretty much unlimited ram and cpu.

I like your guide, and seeing you put hamachi in there reminds me of when I first got into servers.

Also note;

go to no-ip, for IP put your hamachi ID.

Your hamachi is now masked and the other person does NOT need hamachi.. There might be a few more steps, thats all i remember.. ill look into it.

Are you sure that works? I mean it's been a while since I've messed with no-ip and such. But last I remembered you couldn't use hamachi + no-ip. :S

I don't see why so many people have trouble port forwarding, very simple in any new modem.

Nice Guide but
