Just some additional things I've picked up along the way... Hope they help somebody...
Don't mask adf.ly with bit.ly. Bit.ly marks most of their links as spam. A page pops up warning people about continuing to the destination. The destination link is almost impossible to find on the page. (I think adf.ly are working with bit.ly to resolve this, but it ain't done yet).
adf.ly only allow masking with bit.ly or goo.gl, so use goo.gl instead.

So your link could look like:

instead of:

Go to Google Videos.
Go to Advanced Search.
Spend some time getting the search term and filters exactly right for your niche.
Hit "search videos".
Scroll to the bottom of the results page and set up an email alert.
Get an email alert whenever a video matching your search term gets uploaded/indexed.
Snipe it.
