TV on Laptop?

Ive heard about watching TV on your laptop or computer but never really explorered it. I know you can get TV cards in laptops and stuff and you can watch channels on things like BBC iPlayer and On Demand, but does anyone know where I can get live TV online?

i think it might involve subscribing to a website or somthing but i have a TV tunner card in my pc and tbh it isnt that good but then again i only had an analog conection available so i coulnd test it on a satalite conection

I'm aint sure I have from my country an contract for a half year (the iPad app) and I'd plug it into my tv (hdmi cabel) i'm sure you must have an cabel that start with hdmi and end with usb then you can hit the tv box @nvidia control panel. But remotly acctually not
