Straight to the point, it would be sweet if we could have our profile user ID as /@fade as well as our number UID.

I think this would be a good way of finding someone quickly?

For example:

XxryxJV.png

They have it on the other site, and I personally think it's a good add on!

This would be a lot easier for finding people. Although, wouldn't the number UID's be pointless if we had the username's in there?

This is undo able currently, because some usernames have invisible characters. Philly would have to fnc all people w invis chars, and that would be time consuming.

Not possible. Some people use special characters.

They work on LeakForums, I'm sure..

When you state that a competing forum has such a perk, it literally cuts the likelihood of implementation on Forum Korner in half.

Eh yeah, it'd be good.

People with special characters don't have it maybe? Like they can change their name to normal if they want that kind of UID.

I like the idea but it comes at a cost.

Most notably would be the refunds that @philly would have to allocate to the users who purchased custom ID's.

This seems like a great way, saves time from having to search the name :D

Couldn't spaced usernames just be written out in code so it would be:

http://forumkorner.com/Glitter+Milk ?

When there are gamertags with spaces you just add the + for all spaces. Example: http://live.xbox.com/profile?gamertag=Major+Nelson

As far as for the special character usernames, they should be stuck with the standard: /user-0000.html as the only drawback.

I feel like it could be implemented. But for a small individual fee. You can have the choice to buy a vanity URL or have the standard user ID URL.

Opposed to EVERYONE having a vanity URL and it causing some kind of site crash. Good idea, though. @Philly is very busy and this will not be seen for a bit.

Why a fee? It'd be better if EVERYONE had one..

He'd have to find a way to get around all the hundreds and thousands of special charcater usernames and be able to give them a vanity URL.

If it was limited to all non-special character users only, I guess everyone could receive it for free. But it'd be easier if individual requests were made.

Rather then giving it out to 20,000 members all at once. Then the issue comes into play where someone changes their username daily...
