I just thought I'd let you know that the community has been updated to the new release of MyBB, fixing several vulnerabilites. We're now running MyBB 1.6.2, rather than 1.6.1.

They release new versions serveral times per year. This wasn't an expected release, it doesn't fix any bugs, it's primarily a security fix. I expect MyBB 1.6.3 will come out within the next 2 months.

Security fixes are all ways a good thing, but when you fix 1 security issue, you're opening more.

There was more than 1 security risks fixed, 2 medium risk and 1 low I believe.

Seems to be running smoothly, I expected it to anyway since it was a minor release.
