Use of cell phones in school.

Mainly people would say that "No, phones shouldnt be at school in the first place"
The only reason why you say that is because that you made it through school without a cell phone but As long as you are not overusing it then there should be no problem.Let us Show that the world is changing and so is the tech not using it when we need it the most theres no point in having it at all. Ways of learning are changing, how we're learning is changing, everything is changing.

I dont see any problem taking your phones to school. Use it during the break or something, but not when some teacher is speaking in the class. It is very frustrating for the teacher to see students distracted, trying to do something on their phones when they are not supposed to.
You wouldn't be using mobiles to search for information all the time.

I think that students should be allowed to take their phones to school. However I think that they should be turned off and put away unless they are at lunch or recess. This way the phones dont interrupt their classrooms.

I dont see any reason why cellphones are not allowed in schools. Having a cellphone means that you are responsible for your actions. If you know that it is school hours, you either put off your phone or put it in silent mode. Or you can put it inside the locker if you have one. In case one does not know, cellphones can be an avenue for cheating as they are now equipped with cameras. Probably that's why they are banned inside classrooms. But it's really up to you how you use it.

I think that phones should be aloud in school but not allowed during lessons or only aloud in lessons when you have finished work and you have like 5 minutes left of the lesson but you should definatly be aloud to use them during breaks.

Well I am not against the usage of cell phone but it must be off during period. Yes you can use it during your free time of school after all its very useful item which make us informed regarding every indecent happening around us and for emergency its the best gadget. So I think it must be allowed but we have to use it with responsibility.

In my opinion, I don't think it's bad to have cellphones in school as you don't do it in class or at least during studyhall which is pretty fine for me as long as you don't bring attention to yourself.

yes i agree overuse of anything is injurious.if a kid i wise enough to use cell phone for a proper use i think there is no harm.but as you know kids are moldable and if they start making fun with it,it could really hamper their studies.

When kids are in school,cell phones should be turned off,unless they have an emergency.Texting is not an emergency.

I think that with all the new applications availible for use because of cellphones that they could really help to improve the classroom environment. I mean, they can act as an all-in-one dictionary,calculator,translator and notepad. I know that they have a huge potential for cheating and they can disrupt the teacher, however, if they are used in the right way they could really help students to learn.

Im on both...Seeing as how I have a phone and could take it to school me and my parents did a test..for my 1st year of high school i brough it and used it and during my report card they marked down my marks...Then for my 2end year I did not bring it (this year) and just yesterday my marks this year where better because I did not have my phone. This is just me but it proves that my phone made my marks go down.

I take a cautious approach to this matter because I can see the need for them in terms of contacting and using apps but I know it can distract some people from schoolwork.

I agree what if you need it to contact your parents or someone. idk i have had that happen but normally I dont have my phone

My school snatches the cell and never returns if anyone caught.
I think it should be like that because it distracts from study

It should be allowed, as long as it is properly regulated. School autorities should formulate policies to handle this issue. Cellphones are necessities nowadays.

no i wont agree with that they wont have to use cell phones in school at that stage they are mostly minor that are affecting there mind they should not use cell phones in schools

I have a daughter in high school and they are not allowed to bring their mobile phones in school. I kind of agree with this because this teach them to obey rules and regulations and anyway, school is for studying. They can bring their phones when they go to college already because they can have the freedom they want.

I think there should be a place in school where the cellphone can be used. It's true that it should not be brought to the classroom but outside the classroom I think it should be allowed. It is a means of communication between parents and kids.
