After seeing all these thread shops and looking at my user profile I was thinking why could it be done? I worked quite a bit with mybb so I know that:

Making the extra section isn't impossible.
(the section where people view your shop via profile.)

Adding the area to enter the values in the cp is possible in admincp right?
(so users would see a blank area where they could simply add their own text and format it either in a straight line or like I've done in picture)

Adding the hook to the extra section would be simple.

basically this wouldn't take up much time at all to do, unless I'm wrong and missing something?

Then perhaps under the username could be a "Shop" link that directly takes users to that persons shop.

No thanks I would prefer to make the social medium market place more active, not less. And on another note, everyone would just make threads saying "selling new shit check my profile!"

This isn't a main priority type of thing, unique, but also not a top priority.

Don't get me wrong, the threads is obviously better.

It wouldn't be a replacement, more of an addon that would keep a record of what a user is selling that anyuser could see anytime a person posts simply by clicking on the users shop link?

A user's thread maybe pushed down, go nonactive, so on. With this its always visible simply on their profile.

Thanks for the suggestion, @Derp! We at ForumKorner appreciate and review as many suggestions from our members as we can. Unfortunately, we did not see a need to implement your idea at this point in time. Thank you once again and have a nice day. :)

This would be much less organized than posting a thread, and it would never be used. The few people to take the time to actually add something would never get any interest, and wouldn't ever update it.

I like the idea of this, but we have sub-forums for a reason.
