Anyone have good recommendations for good cheap video editing software?

After Effects or Adobe Premiere. Hands down some of the best software right there, costs $20/month for students, though I'm sure there are plenty of ways to get it free.

TPB. Look for the 'Ching Liu' version, I used them all the time before buying a license.

I don't understand why you all are telling him to get a cracked version. He said he wants to pay for it, so let him pay for it. If it was important enough to mention, then it's there for a reason. Do what @hurt said. It's cheap and you get the whole Creative Suite Master Collection.
