i'm sorta stealing this idea from leak, idc meh.
So you'd have another reputable area, like your normal reputation page but it'd be used for valid reps, and these reps would be given and valued as a true "vouch" for the user, rather than the buyer/seller having to search for the persons vouch thread.
So, lets say if I dealt with: @Example
and the deal goes smooth, the vouch would forever be on his profile as a legitimate deal.
If I dealt with: @Example
and the deal goes wrong and he backs out/decides to be sketchy and denies for a mm or something, and you feel he's going to be a bit sketchy to everyone, you can leave a negative or neutral reputable point to his vouch list.
rather than having friends post on your vouch thread for a bump, this would be a more successful way of showing peoples vouches.
Yes some may say, why do we even want/need this when we have the vouches section in the marketplace??
Well, here is your answer.
Reputation: You can give up to 15 reputation as a normal member (upgraded etc etc) which just add's points to a pointless system of what people think means something whilst dealing, this also comes into the section of where people say "oh you need 500 rep to join this group" etc..
Vouches: This could easily be taken and abused in the wrong way, (fake vouches, paid vouches 'offsite' etc..) but this would add another meaning to the forum board, Instead of having a member to leave a reputation mark on the persons profile to show that they are legitimate within their recent deals they can leave a VALID vouch point which will show as "1" vouch.
Once again, why would we need this you may be thinking..
It just completes confusion of the buyer/seller of both transactions..I've spent some time on typing this out so I hope it doesn't just get slapped on being all like "oh leak blah blah blah" i've stated i'm taking this idea from there, so don't whine about it.
At the end of the day, vouch threads is something people can use to post boost on, whilst the vouch system on someones profile can show that any normal reputable user has a legitimate amount of vouches on their profile, if staff want this done I'll find someone that can create this plugin unless its out there for free.
