It infuriates me, to think that a man who has gone through enough trauma in his life is charged for saving the life of an animal that was carelessly put in that situation by its ignorant owner.

It is also equally stupid as there is a law which allows citizens to break into vehicles to save a child's life, but not that of an animal, why should animals be of less importance?

Georgia state law allows an individual to break a window to save a child in distress but not a pet. Animal advocates say they are working to change the law
What do you think of this?

I find that really upsetting, he shouldn't be charged, his charge(s) should be dropped.

The owner(s) of the pet should be charged with animal cruelity.

This is very frustrating to be honest.

Like the guy on top of me said, the charges should be dropped on the veteran an instead charge the owners. He was trying to save an animals life and he gets arrested for it.

I find this honestly find this screwed up. The owner himself should be kind enough to drop charges and be thankful that someone has helped his dog.

the law just needs to stop being so strict and start thinking logically.

logical thinking is something a large amount of people from anywhere in the world do not do
i honestly think this is a load of bullshit considering he saved the dog from what the idiot owner caused

What the fuck.. He's charged for saving him, yet said person who put him there walks freely.. K then.

I personally think governments lack basic common sense in hundreds of situations. Like what if it was their dog? Would they let it burn in front of them because they worry about breaking a f*cking car window to save the animal?

The police just had nothing better to do.
Dude is a hero fuck that.

Good. Serves him right for breaking a window. how would he feel is someone broke his window? and who cares its a dog

You fucking disgust me. He saved the dogs life, why is there a law that allows people to do this for babies but not for dogs?
A life is a life. Clearly you lack common sense.

The man alone for his action to rescue a dog from quite possibly dying or suffocating in a car i respect him for that.

this honestly upsets me

what is wrong with people?

Haha, Athens is 5 miles from my hometown in Georgia. But I wonder, why is everyone mad? He broke into a car. That's illegal. I don't care if he's a War Veteran or not. Not every War Veteran is a hero. Now, granted, they probably did things that were heroic and I'm sure they've killed a lot of people. But, regardless, once you strip away all the titles and look at the case, it's obvious he should have been arrested.

That is totally stupid. He must be praised instead.

^^                                   thank you               : )
