there are lots of these scams. There is an email scam called Fanbox. It is very sly and uses people from your contact list. Luckily I didn't fall for that and simply deleted the email.

I heard this news from one of my friends. Now, we have to be very careful while surfing on internet. Hope, these viruses or scams come to an end.

Viruses can now be turned into FUD's, FUD= Fully Undetectable. Running a Virus Scan would be very good but they normally crypt the virus into millions of MD5 codes so the program cannot crack onto the source. BASE64-MD52 crypt works though.

Well if you think they are going to end I just have to say there part of the PC world and there is nothing there to stop them unless someone decides to man up and just have fun on the computer instead of giving people viruses.

As good as that sounds, it's never going to happen, sadly. There will always be people that use computers for evil/bad purposes of which they were not made for. If it weren't for computer viruses/spyware/trojans/rats, etc, then a lot of companies and websites would be put out of business. Kaspersky Internet Security, Norton, AVG, McAfee, all these companies offer a paid product, of which they make thousands of pounds from selling and wouldn't have formed if it weren't for threatened computer security.

Many sites have been created for purposes to secure your PC, take the HJT (HiJackThis) program, there would be no need for that if viruses weren't around.

The bottom line, in my opinion is that if you can't protect yourself accordingly, and don't have the knowledge or appropriate security software, then you could use Linux as they are pretty invulnerable against infections.

I've seen this on multiple occasions, however, figured it was fishy and ignored it.
