Ways of promotion?

What are your preferred methods of promotion?

mine is FK cause Omni seems to target every site I'm staff on as "competing"

I also use promotion forums.

1. Mass emailing other user's (not really reliable but it works to a point)
2. Promoting on forums that allow it.
3. Adding a signature link or image on other forums that allow it.
4. Word of mouth.
5. Hang fliers around the neighborhood (I've experimented with this before)
6. Have posting or referral contests and giveaways.
