Exactly! So why keep marijuana illegal? It makes no sense.
If you make weed illegal, make tobacco and alcohol.
You can't say anything that will prove to me that alcohol or tobacco is healthier for you and causes equal or more damage than marijuana. *even though I think marijuana does no damage.*

I've also pasted you proof that Marijuana causes/contributes mental illnesses. Tobacco and Alcohol don't. Marijuana is an addicting substance, though some people inevitably don't get addicted just like alcohol/tobacco. The fact it leads to a mental illness is enough to keep it illegal.

Alright well I think this went pretty successful for our first discussion. I would have to say the best debater was Phreak but arguments from both sides were valid. There was a contradiction or two when debating by Crayo who was the runner up for best debater.

You said that Tobacco and Alcohol don't lead to mental illnesses and that's why they're legal. Well let's not ignore the fact that Cigarettes kill millions and so does alcohol. Alcohol leads to tons of diseases, mental and physical. So that argument isn't very strong. Phreak however asked what the hell the difference is as they all have "negatives" but weed has the least negatives. People go into rehab for alcohol and many other drugs but very rarely for weed. Most of the time they go into rehab for weed is when they have the option of jail or rehab. I studied this in criminal justice and most cops even think it's bullshit that it's illegal because they never have a struggle with someone that's high on marijuana. However alcohol, well, we've all seen cops at least once.

Obviously, too much of something is always bad. So this would depend on the person and not the law.

Good job to those participated. I liked reading everyone's opinions. I don't have many market forum credits to give but I'll give some. Hopefully to earn more this week for our next debate!
