Sup, I don't come here often but every now and then I pop in and say hi.

Anyway, I've had this guy named 'Legit' on my f/l for around 3-4 years now. I added him out of the blue back when I was bored and just adding cool GT's to try to make a full friendslist of OG names (I eventually deleted most people, but I left Legit since that name is so fuckin' cool). I used to see him playing Halo Reach here and there a few years ago, but then sometime ago the owner changed the privacy settings on the account so that even as a friend I can't see his online status/recent games/friends list/etc, so out of both boredom and curiosity I looked him up on bungie.net's Halo Reach stats (yeah, I know they haven't been updated since 2012 but every other Halo stats site is slow as hell), and looked through his previously played games and who he played with.

Apparently he used to play with some other extremely OG tags. There were tags such as Pie, Man, TTG, Zombie, Twister, Clutch, Reload, Pwn, DMR, War, Football, Hitman (I know that one has floated around), Anonymous and probably more that I don't know about since I only looked through a couple games.

I looked most of them up on Xbox.com, and it seems to be the same deal with every tag. Full privacy settings on, and only a few hundred gamerscore (around 200-500 on each account, doesn't look like they're used much. Maybe they're all banned? idk). Anybody know the deal with these guys? How'd they get so many extremely OG names like that (are they known jackers, turboers, or just knew someone from ms when they were doing the tag reset?)? Because they're sitting on like over a couple thousand worth of gamertags. Someone once told me Legit was a Halo pro from way back or something (which kind of makes sense, the guy has a pretty nasty K/D) but I have no idea whether that's true or not.

Anyway, that's about all I know. If y'all know anything, it'd be cool to know. Not trying to jack anyone's tags or anything, just bored and curious.

Peace

That's what I pretty much figured. I just looked up some of their GT's on the old Halo 2 leaderboards, most hadn't played it before, but the one's that did play Halo 2 had differently capitalized names. Legit's GT was spelled LEGIT before, and Man was spelled MAN, so I'm pretty sure they were snagged during the GT reset.

I don't think War was a Halo nerd though

Respect quits out every single game if he's on the other team than me.
Pretzel (don't get mad if u see this m8 :"( ) made me lose multiple games mid mid level 30 team slayer in h3
Airport is cool, has a bunch of 50s (I'm better than him) :")
Ruled sucks
Turpentine was just making fun of me like a couple minutes ago

idk ik and used to know a lot of og Halo people. don't really want to name some and one of them has "extremely og tags" like you say

and Legit never owned the gt Legit
I have no idea how Tsquared got Squared. He must have bought or a fan gave it to him because he started using it and it only played a couple games in 2010 and was inactive.

A lot of Halo players from the original Xbox used to snag all of the single word Gamertags, I've also noticed that a lot of them add each other and play with each other so they look good. If anything they're probably just a big group of friends that took the single word Gamertags to make up cool looking parties in Matchmaking etc.

I play often with multiple OG gamertags, as I do own a couple.
