I am doing a deal with a member here and I sent the money. As he was removing the alts on the account, he told me to chargeback the payment because he gave me the wrong email. So now I'm down $55 and have to go through a week of bullshit to get my account.
Should he give me the account then I pay him whenever the chargeback goes through? Or should I have to go through all the bullshit without the account and then hope that he hasn't sold it by the time I get the money back?
Basically I'm asking what you would do in this situation. I'm extremely pissed off.
And also, how long does a chargeback usually take for something like this?
No, he should not give you the account first. If he doesn't have his part of the deal, you shouldn't have yours.
It'd only be fair for both of you to wait until the payment charge-back goes through, then you each get what you wanted.
If he wants to sell it before then, that's his choice, it's his item. You can't really do anything about that.

That's bullshit that he gave me the wrong email. Why should I have to deal with PayPal's bullshit and have him sell the account to someone else because of his mistake?

In the original post, you're asking what I would do in this situation. I responded with an honest answer.
Why are you getting mad when you ask me for my opinion?
Be happy that he made you charge-back and didn't just keep the money for himself.
It's his virtual item. He can sell it to whoever he wants, whenever he wants.

I would be too in this situation, but you have to see both of your sides of the deal.
He could have just told you to wait until he got the money onto a different account, leaving you with no money, no account and worried about being scammed.
