Well to be honest I didn't grew up with arcade games. Neither with consoles. I used to play some racing games in my dad's Windows 97 PC. I never spent any cash on a game console. I do now because I got a PS3 but that's not old skool gaming. I think I was too young to actually follow the console news and also the fact that the nearest game store was in Arnhem, 15 km from my home. We rarely went to Arnhem, only for buying clothes or stuff for in our house. My parents weren't really interested in new electronica either, we used to have an old tv from the '90s till 2008. I bought a flat screen for myself than and that was the point where my parents actually discovered that there was a lot of new stuff to get.
Anyway, to get on topic and to safe you guys wasting your time reading my ( boring ) story: I never played arcade games.
