What are your thoughts on ISIS.

I believe that the media has a big part in this subject. I also believe that if you are going to report on something get the terrorist groups name right. Our president; Obama and whoever writes his speeches can't even get it right. They are really called The Islamic State. But yea let me here what you guys think of them, are they really a huge threat to the homeland and other big countries far from the Middle East as the media is saying? Are they going to do worse things then Al-Qaeda did? Are "ISIS" beheading videos really effecting our bombing runs over there? Just let me hear it all! I would love to hear some debates on this subject!

To anyone who is too young to understand this topic and video let me state this.

I am in no way supporting this terrorist group or any terrorist acts, I will be joining the United States military in about a year to help combat these kinds of evils in our world. This is solely for discussion purposes.

As I am of Middle Eastern descent, it really gets to me because many of my relatives are having to flee out of their homeland and are now living on the streets struggling for the essentials of life (shelter, food, water, etc). I do believe the US Government are funding ISIS but that's just a rumour floating around, I don't think much evidence would suffice.

I hope it all ends soon, with no death at all.

I mean just look at this image. (Fairly large image, apologies. But it makes you think)

@michael I get what you are trying to say by the photo. But believe me they are not fake by no means these are real people that all they want to do is deal harm. And the U.S is not funding them. Because "ISIS" is in the buisness of killing everyone with no real goal. The U.S wouldn't fund something that doesn't make them money.

Isn't that just a shame. I wonder, @Michael why god is allowing this to happen? All of this death, suffering, violence.... An all powerful being who supposedly represents all that is love and all that is good is just sitting back and enjoying the show as his children murder each other. Makes a lot of sense right? Free will > logic and prevention. Maybe you aren't praying hard enough.

I looked at the photo @Michael posted, and I cannot help but to think the "journalist" in the orange jump suit was in fact photoshopped onto that platform, having experience with photoshop it certainly looks like it... I do however feel like something about ISIS is fishy, having watched the raw "beheading" footage the ISIS members makes 6 slices on the throat of the American, and no blood was drawn, not even one drop... if you want the raw video link lmk

They are a bunch of idiotic muslims who want everyone in the world to be muslim. Hasn't there been a million things like ISIS in the past ten years?

Uh. No. Please do some research as to why they are different. I don't wanna waste my typing a paragraph.

They may be more organized than the other groups of radical muslims, but I'm pretty sure they all have the same cause.

They are cowardly idealists. They make out they are powerful when really they just have us in an awkward situation which in a sense does give them power however they just sicken me. There is no right to what they're doing. Pure evil.

The cause may be the same, but that's not what we are afraid of. They have no mercy. That's what scares us the most.
Did Al-Qaeda have mercy when they brutally murdered over 3,000 people by hijacking planes and flying them into two skyscrapers?

Did the Taliban have mercy when they relentlessly kill and injure US military members in combat?

Pretty sure these Muslim radicals are living for their "72 virgins", which they'll be pretty sad not to see when they die by blowing themselves up over a book and there is literally nothing, just like before they were born.

Again. Do your research. You are barely scratching the surface.

Whatever. You telling me to do that isn't really making we want to do resarch.
